THE LEGENDS NIGHT
Good afternoon.
At this Sunday’s AGM, it was mentioned that we have 83 branch members, and yet only managed to attract 35 of them to our annual Legends dinner, despite the presence of Blues heroes Glyn Pardoe and Steve Mackenzie, and Premier League referee Mark Halsey. In the past, such luminaries as Tommy Booth, Peter Barnes, Gary Owen, Fred Eyre, Ian Cheeseman, John Stapleton, Kevin Kennedy and James H Reeve have attended this event, which is also personally supported by Kevin Parker, secretary of the MCFC Supporters Club. Obviously if I am to continue to tempt former players to travel all this way, I would like to be able to guarantee them a good turnout.
So the question goes out to all members, particularly those who did not attend the Legends Night (or indeed the AGM) - what could we do which we are currently not doing to get more of our members to these events? This is a genuine question, so please give it some thought.
